Quaglia Trophy: This competition began 26 years ago, in memory of a great Chamoniard speed skater, Leon Auaglia, who took part in the first winter Olympic Games in 1924 in Chamonix Mont Blanc.
It remains the most important Short Track competition in France.
This exposition is the only French gathering where it is possible to admire and actually purchase minerals originating from the Mont-Blanc Massif and indeed from all over the world, directly from the Crystal seekers themselves.
3 evenings: The Montenvers train doubles up as a musical journey with excerpts from opera, operetta and musical comedy (Carmen, la Vie Parisienne, West Side Story, la Traviata, Night and Day?). The "Diva and the Toreador" are performing for 3 days at the Grand Hotel du Montenvers.

The 84th Fête des Guides
The Guides Festival takes place every year on 14th and 15th August. It combines traditional folklore with modern expertise and offers a wonderful spectacle for all those attending the celebrations. Friendship and conviviality are the keywords to these festivities....

Unique in its kind, this event crosses 3 countries on foot (France, Italy and Switzerland), covers 158 kilometres and 8,500 metres climb in one fell swoop. A race with a time limit of 45 hours, the current held record being 21 hours and 6 minutes.
Victims of global warming, the glaciers are suffering. With the ice shelf melting at high speed, the glaciers in the Alps are receding. From Greenland to the Himalayas and from the Andes to the Antarctic, these glaciers seem to be doomed.
