Chamonix has been having a cultural exchange with sister city Garmisch Partenkirchen for years. Come listen to the music in the Garmish Plaza (outside Irish Coffee) all weekend and at they'll play in the little tourist trian that circulates Chamonix at 18:00 on Friday, and at 10:00 on Saturday and Sunday.

Every month, Christian Martray, sommelier of Albert 1er restaurant proposes to meet one or several wine makers, where they share their know-how and allow you to discover their best wines through a tasting. The morning wine tasting session is followed by a gastronomic lunch in the Albert 1er restaurant with a special menu to go in accordance with the winemaker’s wines.

Cycling and running race in teams of 2 with 20km and a 600 meter climb. Starting at 9:30 on Saturday, followed by the prizes and pasta party at night.

The Mont Blanc tramway which goes from Le Fayet through Bellevue lift station in Les Houches to the Nid d'Aigle is scheduled to close for the season September 20th.

Sports festival - teams of 3 (6 years old minimum) compete in 15 different races at the track (near the MBC). Registration starts at 9:30 and races are held between 10:00 and 16:00. Barbeque and refreshments for participants.

The second edition of the Trail des Aiguilles Rouges.
The trail starts in Les Houches and finishes in Chamonix, after traversing 3 natural reserves. This technically difficult and ecological course with its 50km and more than 3500m vertical has attracted some of the big names in trail running.
