Come and see the glaciers from up close, snowshoeing in winter through silent forests to immaculate plateaus and hiking in summer through Alpine meadows of colourful wildflowers and thick mossy pine forests.The views of Mt Blanc are stupendous higher up!
I regularly work as a "renfort" for the prestiguous Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix,the oldest and most famous company of mountain guides in the world, and know this area well,having lived here since 1995,although I also have experience further afield on the 8000m mountains of the Himalayas including the summit of Cho Oyo(27,000ft),a high ski descent on Shishapangma and the North ridge of Everest.I have spent two and a half years in the Himalayas,a calm and fulfilling part of my life.
My wife and daughter are French,many of my clients are,and I would hope to give you a more intimate view of the culture and history of this incomparable region through this and my three years of experience with La Compagnie des Guides de Chamonix.
I prefer to share the mountain,only leading when required too.I am quite used to all levels of fitness in my mountain partners,and it's no problem to tailor the excursion to suit you.
