A 36 years old italian skier, from Milan, that skied yesterday with a friend on the Glacier Rond (north ouest face of the Aiguille du Midi), fell 150m to his death.
All happenned more exactly on the second couloir, also called couloir Cuningham. This couloir is the one that gives access back to the Glacier des Bossons.
According with the PGHM (Mountain Rescue), the slope was at 45º in this part of the face (+- 2800m high). The snow was very hard and the reason for the fall may have been a technical error.
