Chamonix: Col des Montets is open to traffic again!!!
The Col des Montets, RD1506 between Chamonix-Mont-Blanc and Switzerland, was open to traffic this last Sunday at 14h30.
It had been closed to traffic for all vehicles between Argentiere and Vallorcine Saturday night for an indefinite period.

Mont Blanc Tunnel: More than 1000 bikers have honored the memory of "Spadino"
Nearly 1,000 bikers from France and Italy got together yesterday to honor the memory of one of their own, Pierluccio Tizzani known as "Spadino, Italian Biker Patrol that died March 29th, 1999 in the famous fire in the tunnel of Mont Blanc.

In Val Vény, Courmayeur... a Norwegian was killed in an avalanche
A group of Norwegian tourists, skiing some off piste in the area of Val Veny, at 1700 meters above sea level, south of Courmayeur, was caught by an avalanche on Friday night.
