Ah... the end of the season in Chamonix. Sunday 4th of May was the closing party for the end of the season 2007/2008. What a day, and what a season it was.
The top lift was open, as was the Bochard and the Herse. Perfect spring conditions for party breaks. It was mainly sunny up on the Grands Montets with a few clouds during the afternoon and it was one of the hottest days of the year so far. Hot enough to show some skin. Electric atmosphere, lots of revelers, a great sound system with good music and lots of alcohol, freeride days is another excuse for a party on the snow. More than a couple of people were spotted going all the way along the rail and making it across the waterslide without getting wet. Nothing like ending the season with a great big snowball fight at the end and a (slightly tipsy) run down the Pierre à Ric for the more adventurous (some walking involved at the end).
