Paragliding Mt. Blanc du Tacul, Chamonix Valley Snow/Mountain Report
Hi everybody,
What a nice day to fly!!!
Specially from the summit of a 4000m peak. The Mont Blanc du Tacul.
Yeap... it's true. If you want to fly and do some mountaineering, this is the week to do it.
The weather has been stable, the wind perfect and the conditions to reach the summit are also great.
Today there were some people flying from the Mont Blanc. We spoke with them and they said that everything was simply perfect.
We decided to do the same, but from the Mont Blanc du Tacul.
We took the first lift, 7.10h. Lots of people with their paraglider. We also saw Glen Plake, but he was on skis.
In total we should have been 20 persons taking off today from the Mont Blanc du Tacul.
20 persons is a lot of persons, so me and Guillaume we decided to go a little bit faster. The tracks to go up the Tacul are better than ever. It's like a high way. And there is no major difficulty, no crevasses, no seracs, simply great!!!
At 8.50h we were at the Épaule du Tacul. And 15 minutes later we were flying down to the Valley. The take off was quite easy, The wind was North, 10km/h. 10 steps and you're on air.
The flight plan.... watch the photos!!!!
Now back in the office with a huge smile.
Enjoy!!!
