This canyon is above the famous Gorges de la Diosaz, which tourists come to see by raised walkway. Running 3.5km long, the Canyon de la Diosaz has waterfall after waterfall after waterfall.
The route is best end-August to end-October and takes 6hrs.

Just past Vallorcine and against the Swiss border are 2 excellent "aqualands", the canyons of Barberine and Giettroz.
The first in particular is excellent for families and groups and needs
only a 20min walk from the car. One local guide even offers midnight
descents, with just headtorches to show the way.
