As required by law, the operation subject to competitive procurement, concerns all ski schools in the valley: ESF of Les Houches, Chamonix, Argentière and Vallorcine as well as Evolution 2 Chamonix, and they all responded favorably.

Tourists can now book the free ski courses at the various ski schools by presenting a booking confirmation (hotel, holiday center, rental of accommodation from person to person, etc.).

To prevent from booking ski lessons and cancelling, it was decided that tourists should present the Chamonix Guest Card given by their accommodation provider at the first ski lesson.

Advertising spots via radios and posters in the metro

According to Le Dauphine, this operation is promoted by an important communication strategy with the purchase of numerous advertising spots on various local and national radio stations, but also from the British press specializing in winter sports. Above all, the Paris metro, the Lyon buses, the Lausanne trolley and the Geneva tram will welcome 4 by 3 posters from mid-October promoting this offer.

An operation worth 800.000 euros

The Chamonix Valley Tourist Office announced also that in addition to this measure. wants to improve the cultural offer of the valley through cultural shows in the various villages or neighborhoods of Chamonix, with in particular the installation of a sound and light on the Place du Triangle de l'Amitié. The goal is to immerse holidaymakers in a magical atmosphere for the Christmas holidays.

With 800,000 euros disbursed to finance this operation for all tourism professionals in the valley (nearly a fifth of the office's budget), this season, accommodation providers can believe in the magic. In any case, all of them welcomed this saving initiative.
