Chamonix-Briançon Crossing New Record

Martin Kern, Grégoire Curmer and Baptiste Robin left on 4 July from Chamonix, attempting to break the record for the Chamonix-Briançon crossing.

Their goal was to go from Chamonix to Briançon in 32 h. Considering that the previous record owners did it in 37h 51m 39s, the trio was very ambitious.

But they were also successful! They swallowed the 202 kilometres and the 12,500 meters of elevation gain between Chamonix (Haute-Savoie) and Briançon (Hautes-Alpes) in 31h 45min and 13 seconds.

"It was hard. It was long. But it was good. We really had fun during this whole adventure”, declared the three friends when they arrived under the door of Pinerolo in Briançon where all their relatives were waiting for them.
