A man and a woman accidentally unscrewed

Their bodies were found by the PGHM of Chamonix at the level of the Chapelle de la Glière (2663 m or 8736 ft), on the Aiguilles de la Glière mountain, in the evening.

A 71-year-old hiker died in the town of Châtel

The man was hiking with his wife on the top of Mont de Grange (2432 m or 7979 ft) of the Chablais Alps at the end of the morning when he fell around 100 m (328 ft).

The PGHM gendarmes intervened, but there was nothing they could do for the man.

His wife is unharmed.

Other accidents

Later, the PGHM went to the glacier du Milieu, in the Mont-Blanc massif, where a team of mountaineers were struck by a rockfall when descending from the Aiguille d'Argentière.

The gendarmes arrived at around 4.00 pm and found a 45-year-old man who was seriously injured in the chest and a 25-year-old woman who was slightly injured in the leg.

They were rescued thanks to the gendarmerie helicopter and a doctor from the Hospitals of the country of Mont-Blanc.
