Registration open to volunteer at UTMB® 2022

Registration is open to volunteer for the 19th edition of the Mont Blanc Ultra Trail (UTMB), and to experience this mythical event in which most of the stars of the discipline will participate, from Kilian Jornet to Xavier Thévenard.

L'Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB®)

With 18 thriving past editions, the UTMB® is one of the most expected sports competition worldwide, bringing together almost 10,000 athletes every year. A huge part of its indisputable success is owed to an indispensable group of people who often do not get enough recognition for their hard work - the volunteers.

The UTMB’s organizing team is beginning to recruit hundreds of volunteers who will ensure the smooth running of all races held from 22 to Sunday 28 August 2022 and help trailers achieve their dreams of crossing the finish line.

The organization, which also recently unveiled the poster for this edition, probably without health restrictions, is still looking for novice or passionate athletes to complete its teams. Retired, active, young and old people are all welcome. In total, more than forty different positions are offered.

Register online to become a volunteer

To join the upside of the UTMB decor, candidates can register online on the new dedicated platform volunteers.utmb.world. Note that volunteers can indicate the desired assignment or a postmaster they have previously worked with.

There are many lines of work required for this edition of UTMB®:

  • Mountain posts for the sharpest: beacons, race closures;
  • Health posts: doctors, nurses, first-aid;
  • Other volunteers to assist the 10,000 runners expected at the handing over of their bibs;
  • More experienced volunteers to handle the logistics of transportation, catering, or even computer control.

For any information, volunteers can contact the organization at the email address: benevoles@utmb.world or at the following telephone number: +33 4 50 53 47 41.
