UTMB 2023 : Katie Schide drops out Courtney Dauwalter in top form

 

Winner of the UTMB in 2022, Katie Schide will not attempt the double. Courtney Dauwalter aims to take her third UTMB win.

Katie won the 2022 Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc with an impressive time of 23:15'16' (22nd overall).

In 2023, the American Ultra athlete has decided to compete in the OCC.  This 55 km course has a positive elevation gain of 3,425 meters.
It starts in Orsières (Switzerland) on Thursday 31 August with the finish in Chamonix.

Five weeks ago Katie Schide proved her excellent condition by taking 2nd place in the Western States 100 with a time of 16:43'44.
The Western States 100 is located in the Sierra Nevada mountain range of California.

The race was won with a record time of 15:29:34 by Courtney Dauwalter.
Courtney is in sensational form and as the hot favourite, she is expected to reclaim her UTMB crown, which she won in 2020 and 2021.
