How do Shared Transfers work?

Shared Transfers to and from Megève

Shared transfers are excellent options for those who travel on a tight budget, want to save money or simply want to enjoy the wonders of the world without leaving a high carbon footprint.

By choosing a seat in a shared vehicle you save money and leave a lower carbon trail. Using a shared transfer reduces the total traffic emissions of climate and air pollutants.

You will be taken from the airport arrivals and dropped off right at your chosen hotel or chalet, so you will not have to worry about taking a taxi or a bus when arriving in Megève. You will be sharing the vehicle with other people who will be dropped off at different locations in Megève. When leaving Megève, your driver will pick you up from your accommodation and drop you off at the airport departures.

On Arrival at Geneva Airport

The Journey from Geneva Airport to Megève

When travelling to Megève, passengers might be dropped off in Combloux or Cordon. This tends to happen more when demand is low. Each drop-off does cause a delay, and if you are the last person in the vehicle to be delivered to your accommodation, or other chosen destination in the resort, there might have been a delay of 15-20 minutes, in a worst-case scenario. However, when the demand is high - especially during high season - all the passengers might be heading to Megève, in which case the delay is shorter.

The Journey from Megève to Geneva Airport

The transfer company will always notify you of the pick-up time from your accommodation or other agreed location in the resort. Be in that place at the appointed time. If you are not there, the driver will not wait, as to do so, other passengers might be compromised by your no-show.

As the pick-ups in Megève are usually close to one another, you will soon leave the resort and head to Geneva Airport. Along the way, the driver might stop in Combloux or Cordon to pick other passengers up, which might account for a delay of 15-20 minutes, worst-case scenario. However, during high season, most passengers are picked up from Megève, which will shorten the delay.

About Megève

Megève is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in southeastern France, near the Italian and Swiss borders.

Megève was designed in the 1920s as an exclusive destination for the French aristocracy.

Nowadays, the resort is open to everyone, but it continues to have the cache of being one of the most famous ‘up-market’ ski resorts in the whole world.

Megève is perfect for everyone who wants to enjoy everything that a ski resort has to offer, from wonderful slopes to great dining options, while being able to avoid the crowds on and off the slopes.

Indeed, Megève is ideal for those who would like to spend their vacation off the beaten track. Except for sunny weekends and school holidays, Megève is very quiet.

Megève offers breathtaking views of the Mont-Blanc massif from the slopes. Moreover, the ski area is suitable for all levels of skiing or snowboarding.

Also, there are seven ski schools in Megève, which cater to different needs. So, if you either want to learn the very basics or you want to practice complex tricks and become an expert skier, Megève is the place to go.

Besides its vast and varied range of groomed slopes, Megève is an ideal destination for those of you who simply cannot resist untouched powder and the freedom to head off-piste.
