Skiing in Montroc - Le Tour

Le Tour ski area is perfect for beginners, as it provides a great variety of nursery, green and blue pistes.

In fact, La Vormaine (1,500m or 4,921 ft) in Le Tour is the largest beginner's ski domain in the Chamonix valley. It is located behind the Hotel Olympique and it is serviced by three drag lifts.

After you have mastered your basic ski techniques, you can try the gentle and wide slopes of Le Tour.

There is a nice network of progressive blue slopes which have been further opened up by the link from Vallorcine.

Also, Montroc and Le Tour are located approximately 3 km away from the much bigger village, Argentière, where you will have access to the famous Grands Montets, which offers some of the most challenging pistes in Europe.

There are 23 km of excellent mountain biking trails around Montroc and Le Tour.

The area is popular among mountain bikers as they come from other cities as well to try.

The area has a total descent of 2,673 m and a total vertical of 838 m, and it requires advanced or expert skills, so it is not suited for everyone.

Le Tour & Montroc have few bars and restaurants and it generally is a quieter place.

However, there are three restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious meal from the traditional Savoyard cuisine or from the international ones.
