Restaurant Frometon - For the love of cheese

Restaurant Chamonix Frometon - For the love of cheese

From December 16th 2022, the Heliopic Hotel & Spa unveils its new restaurant serving Savoyard specialties in an authentic and warm Frometon setting.

Already at the helm of the Akashon restaurant, awarded a Bib gourmand since January 2020, Chef Julien Binet wanted to once again play the cards of proximity and quality for Frometon. He approached the Val d’Arly cooperative, which collects milk from 80 breeders from the 26 surrounding villages. He also selected exceptional cheeses from Meilleur Ouvrier de France Pierre Gay, a cheese refiner in Annecy for several generations. On the menu, from the Savoyard fondue of the Coopérative du Val d'Arly (Meule de Savoie, Abondance, Beaufort) to the truffle raclette from Pierre Gay, unless you prefer to taste the Reblochon pie preceded stone soup!

For dessert, crème brûlée and tart to share, including the unmissable blueberry tart of course! Frometon plays the speakeasy card by immersing the customer in an immersive experience. By opening a cold room door, the customer enters the restaurant by crossing a maturing cellar, whose gutted wall tells the story of a hold-up, of criminals melting cheese!

Frometon is our declaration of love for cheese. We all agree on one thing: there is nothing better than a good fondue, raclette or tartiflette after a day in the mountains. In a dairy atmosphere, come and taste the best of the Savoyard specialities: charcuterie boards to share (or not), all kinds of melted cheeses, blueberry tarts… And a little Génépi for the road! Fortunately, the robbers were not able to steal all our cheese!

Open every evening from 6:30 pm to 10:15 pm except Sundays and Mondays.
