Closed since Sunday following another rockfall, the Égratz viaduct finally reopened to traffic late Wednesday, September 24th.
Good news for motorists and professionals in the Chamonix Valley: traffic resumed late Wednesday, September 24th on the Égratz viaduct. Closed since Sunday evening following another rockfall, the structure was initially scheduled to remain closed to traffic until Friday.
The clearing and safety operations, carried out by ATMB and its partners despite adverse weather conditions, finally allowed for an early reopening. Traffic is now two-way, including for heavy goods vehicles, as has been the case since August 20th.
