Created in 1924 to raise funds for the relief fund, the Guides' Festival has become a must-see event in the Chamonix Valley.
This festival brings together the guides and mountain leaders of the company to pay a memorable tribute to those who have made history, as well as to the guides of tomorrow, and to celebrate the spirit of teamwork. Numerous activities take place in Chamonix and throughout the valley.
They will begin on August 12th, culminating in celebrations in Argentière and then Chamonix, featuring the roll call of the guides, the laying of wreaths at the cemetery, and the presentation of medals.
On the festive side, concerts, games, craft stalls, and picnics are also on the program.
