It has been really sunny for most of this week in Chamonix, cold in the valley bottom, but mild on the mountain, with no wind today, and some great skiing conditions. The snow is staying mostly cold, since the sun is at a pretty low angle this time of the year. Brévent, Flégère, Le Tour, Les Houches, and Grands Montets currently have almost everything open for skiing and riding, and beginners areas in the valley bottom are open too. Aiguille du Midi and Montenvers are open for sightseeing, and the Nordic skiing is also very much "on" right now, with great snow conditions at the bottom of the Chamonix valley.
