Good news for holders of the Mont-Blanc Unlimited (MBU) ski pass: a new agreement between the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc and the Montenvers train authority guarantees free access to the famous train and the maintenance of the full Évasion Mont-Blanc area for the coming season.
This essential partnership will allow holders of the Mont-Blanc Unlimited ski pass, the flagship pass offered by the CMB, to use the little cogwheel train without limits.
The agreement notably prevented fans of the Vallée Blanche off-piste from having to pay again to pay for the descent on the Montenvers train after taking the Aiguille du Midi cable car and skiing to the Mer de Glace gondola.
This fall of 2025, the two parties reached a new agreement. Specifically, a portion of the revenue generated by the sale of MBU ski passes will be donated to the departmental authority, in exchange for the unrestricted use of these pass holders. Good news for skiers and mountaineers who prefer to have a single pass valid everywhere.
