The Trail des Aiguilles Rouges is a trail running competition that takes place in the Chamonix Valley (Aiguilles Rouges massive), in September.
The TAR is organized by the CMBM, Chamonix Mont-Blanc Marathon, with the help of its partners and 150 volunteers.
Three races:
Trail des Aiguilles Rouges / 54 km / 4 000m D+
P'tit Trail des Aiguilles Rouges / 16 km / 1 300m D+
TAR
Gathering 650 participants, the Trail des Aiguilles Rouges also known as TAR, is a 54km course with over 4000m of elevation gain, which starts in Chamonix, via the Aiguilles Rouges massif and ends in Chamonix.
P'tit TAR
Gathering 350 participants, The P'tit TAR takes place in a limited time on a hilly natural terrain via the hiking trails of the Aiguilles Rouges massif.
Le P'tit TAR course has a route of about 16 km with 1300m of elevation gain, which starts and ends in Chamonix.
Mini TAR
The Mini TAR - Tom's Trophy is a race reserved for the FFA cadets and juniors categories, so that the youngest can also enjoy the trails of the Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley.
A technical course which takes the trailers on the slopes of the south Chamoniard side. Some portions of the route are shared with the P'tit TAR course.
