The 6th edition of Grand Parcours Alpinisme
The Grand Parcours Alpinisme 2018 is to take place on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 June in Chamonix Mont-Blanc valley on five sites: Mer de Glace, Plan de l’Aiguille, Brévent, Flégère et Grand Montets.
Whether you are a beginner or an independent alpiniste, do not miss the opportunity of learning the basics of mountaineering and developing your mountaineering skills.
The event includes programs for three different technical levels
- Discovery Parcours: a course that allows beginners to have a first mountaineering experience, to learn snow walking on boots, rope techniques and to follow waymarked trails.
- Progression Parcours: a course specially designed to learn basic techniques of mountaineering and to implement them.
- Autonomy Parcours: a course that allows mountaineers to learn more complex techniques of progression: dry-tooling, glacier walking, evolution on a snow ridge, climbing and mountain safety courses.

The Grand Parcours Alpinisme is open to all (members of the FFCAM or not), from 12 years old at the day of the event and is an opportunity to learn or improve mountaineering.
Minors between 12 and 17 years old must imperatively complete the authorization and parental discharge and send it back to: Departmental Committee Haute Savoie, Maison des sports 97, Avenue de Genève 74000 Annecy.
The registration fee depends on your age:
- 45 euros for young people from 12 to 24 years old (+ €15 after 31st May)
- 80 euros for adults from 25 years (+ €20 after 31st May)
The fee for the weekend includes:
- the cost of the ski lift for Saturday and Sunday;
- the supervision for 2 days;
- the meal for Saturday evening.

Attention: Accommodation is not included in the price of the weekend.
