The Tennis Club of Chamonix welcomes from 26 September to 1st October 2022 the first international IFT Senior tennis tournament for players over 30 years old.
A competition organized by the departmental tennis committee of Haute-Savoie and the tennis club of Chamonix and supported by the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Ligue.
IFT Senior tournament: free for spectators!
The competition expects fifty players who will compete in singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches. Chamoniards will be able to attend high-level matches free of charge.
This event will bring together both local tennis players, but also other experienced tennis players, more accustomed to international tournaments.
"We are happy to welcome a new tournament and to be able to introduce our club and our valley to foreign tennis players", rejoices the president of the Chamonix tennis club Julien Bidaut.
A magnificent event for the Chamonix tennis club
A great event for the Chamonix tennis club and its 320 members who will no doubt want to extend the sessions a little bit facing the Mont-Blanc massif, before the snow and winter show up and prevent you from playing on the six outdoor clay courts for which the club is renowned.
“I am delighted that this tournament is added to the four other international tournaments organized in Haute-Savoie which are positioned in other categories. This responds to our desire to continue our development of tennis for all, whatever the level, whatever the age and without any discrimination”, said Emmanuelle Ducrot, the president of the departmental committee.
“I hope that there will be many people in Chamonix to encourage all the participants and enjoy this magnificent place, at the foot of Mont-Blanc. »
