Shiatsu in Chamonix

Literally translated from Japanese: "pressure with fingers" (shi = fingers, atsu = pressure). A Japanese bodywork therapy with its origins based  in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Works on the balance of ki energy within the body. Rhythmic pressure is placed along the meridians and acupuncture points. The treatment involves pressure with palms, hands or thumbs, also involved are stretches, rotations and gentle manipulations of the musculo -skeletal system and connective tissue.

Shiatsu encourages self-healing and promotes health by improving the state of energy in the body. It is particularly recommended for stress related illnesses, trauma, sleeping problems, back pain, headaches, neck and shoulder stiffness, etc. Bodily functions can be greatly improved: digestion, breathing, circulation and elimination. Shiatsu is a great compliment for pregnancy,  people already in therapy and athletes.

Shiatsu promotes a profound and general well-being.
