Traditional house in Vallorcine dating back to the early eighteenth century, completely restored, located into the hamlet of Barberine, near the Swiss border.

This house shelters various souvenirs of the Vallorcine people's life of yesterday. Grouped in association (the Association of Maison de Barberine, Vallorcine Museum) the people who participated in the renovation works have created a review on the past of the valley: E V' LYA.

Exhibition on ethnographic, historical, geological and botanical themes. Home of the works of various artists.

Opening times

Maison de Barberine Museum is open to public according to the following timetable:

From 1st July to 31 August 2022 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The museum is closed on Monday.

  • respect the safety distances in the rooms

You can buy an annual museum pass for all the museums (Espace Tarraiz, Alpine Museum, Maison de la Memoire du Patrimoine in Chamonix, Montagnard Museum in Les Houches, Maison du Lieutenant in Servoz and Maison de Barberine in Vallorcine) which allows you unlimited access for 1 year. 
For sale at the entrance of the museums; bring your ViaCham card and an ID photo.
