The Compagnie du Mont Blanc (CMB) has decided to close the Flegère Mountain Bike tracks from summer 2013. The tracks at Le Balme and Les Houches will be open for the whole summer.
In 2010 the Compagnie du Mont Blanc created the Flegère Downhill red and black routes, but it has proved difficult to sustain the service with the level of use experienced over the summers of 2011 & 2012.
Now the CMB is obliged to return the resort to its former natural staus witha tree planting and path reduction programme so that the forest is rehabilitated.
