Winter has returned to Chamonix, and the season can begin this weekend with the partial opening of the Grands Montets and Flégère ski areas. At Grands Montets, the ski area will welcome skiers on November 29th and 30th before opening continuously from December 5th. The Plan Joran and Bochard gondolas, as well as the Tabé chairlift, will be in operation. The Spot and Comptoir à Raclette restaurants will offer a place to relax at altitude.
At Flégère, the area will be open continuously from this Saturday, November 29th, thanks to more than sufficient snow conditions. Skiers can use the Praz gondola and the Evettes, Trappe, and Index chairlifts. The Le Foehn restaurant will also open from the start.
Special rate of €42 per day
To mark the start of the season, a special rate of €42 per day is being offered to everyone, valid in both areas. The Chamonix Le Pass and Mont Blanc Unlimited 2025-2026 season and annual passes will be valid from these initial openings.
The other ski areas in the Chamonix Valley, as well as the Mer de Glace, the Aiguille du Midi, and the Mont Blanc Tramway, will follow their opening schedules depending on snow conditions.
