Mont-Blanc: The PGHM strongly mobilized

Activity remains dense around the Mont-Blanc massif, even if many have returned to work or school.

Indeed, Tuesday 6 September at 6:00 p.m., the PGHM of Chamonix had already carried out nine mountain rescues.

Most of the operations involved trauma injuries

Two mountaineers technically blocked at the Aiguille du Peigne (3192 meters) were however evacuated at the stroke of 8:00 am.

At 12:55 p.m., a 90-year-old hiker who fell ill at Lac Bleu was rescued and taken to Sallanches hospital.

According to Le Dauphine, the rescuers aboard the Dragon 74 civil security helicopter then went at 2:40 p.m. to 4,362 meters above sea level at the Vallot shelter, to take care of a 42-year-old mountaineer suffering from a acute mountain sickness, before coming to the aid of a woman suffering from illness at La Flégère.
