A Chamonix’s very popular place among the petanque players
The Petanque chalet in Bois du Bouchet, which was burned down by fire on 5 November 2017, is being rebuilt.
According to Le Dauphine, for the past few days, construction work started to rebuild the building for all petanque lovers in the Chamonix town.
Indeed, the investigation carried out by the gendarmerie, after the fire, had revealed that it was of voluntary origin. After a long period of immobilization, the municipality of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc was finally able to obtain this reconstruction founds to compensate for this loss suffered.
The chalet construction is expected to be done before summer 2022 and an automatic toilet will be integrated into the new building.
This is very good news for the Chamonix petanque club.
