Soft spring snow on the Brevent pistes today, some clouds, and warm temperatures, giving a pleasant morning of skiing above Chamonix.
It has been a warm couple of days in the Chamonix mountains, after having some more fresh snow on Monday and Tuesday at low altitude (20cm+++ at 2000m). The rainline went above 2000m on Tuesday evening, but there hasn't been much damage to the snowpack at 2000m and above. The snow quality is very spring-like now, though, and a bit rough off-piste, but really great on the groomed runs. More fresh snow is forecast, before the sun comes out again and we get some really nice spring skiing conditions going into the weekend.
