The unstable weather that was forecast for this week kind-of fizzled out, and all we had was a cloudy day on Monday. Otherwise it has been pretty sunny every day for a while now.
The Grands Montets had some great spring snow again this afternoon (it is better in the afternoons, due to being frozen solid in the morning). There was more wind today than there has been, a strong Westerly breeze, but the temperature was still pretty warm on most of the mountain. The pistes were especially good, while off-piste was skiing a bit slower with stickier snow. The Pierre-a-ric piste was loaded with slush bumps (moguls), which aren't bad to ski once you find the right technique (better than icy moguls!)
Some more clouds are building tonight into tomorrow, but nothing significant, and there should be some more sunshine after that. There is a chance of a stronger weather system over the weekend, so maybe we will get some fresh snow for the last couple of days of Grands Montets before closing day on May 1st.
