Another week, another Monday snowfall in Chamonix! This time the snowfall amount was pretty decent, thanks to storm "Franklin"giving us high winds and heavy snowfall on Monday, hot on the tail of storm "Eunice". There was between 30 and 50 centimetres of fresh powder by Tuesday morning in mid mountain (2000m), with more higher up, and then the sun came back out! The ski lifts were able to progressively re-open after avalanche control, and we had some great powder skiing in the early part of the week.

It snowed a tiny bit more on Friday - nothing significant, but it looked great with some fluffy flakes flying through the air in Chamonix town. Now the high pressure is back, which means stable weather and days of sunshine ahead in the days to come. We have tons of snow for skiing, especially up on the mountains. I expect that it will be a bit warmer in a couple of days, and we should have some good spring skiing conditions in Chamonix, especially in the direct sun.
Today was beautifully sunny at Flégère. It was cold up on the mountain, and the high altitude had a strong north wind. It was pretty good conditions for zipping around on hard-packed pistes. It was busy there, but there seems to be a lot of space on the pistes, and more space off-piste, which is pretty good and smooth in places where it has been skied hard (some icy parts on heavy traffic pistes, especially later in the day).
