We had some fresh snow last night (Tuesday) in Chamonix - a dusting of white in town, and about 20-30cm of light powder above 2000m.
2022 started off with some welcome sunshine and spring snow conditions in the Chamonix mountains, but then the next wave of active weather came in, and gave us this top-up of new snow. Today was cloudy and still snowing, with some sunny spells in the afternoon. Brévent/Flégère was nice to ski, with most terrain opening up after avalanche control. The new snow was classic "dust on crust", because it was light powder, and I could feel the hardback snow base underneath, but it was a very welcome powder day. Watch out for icy patches, especially where skiers have scraped away the new layer of snow, and on steeper slopes.
The rest of the week should have some sunshine, and there is supposed to be a new wave of snowy weather over the weekend.
