Mont Blanc Natural Resort had been hoping to open some ski terrain at the end of November (snow conditions permitting, of course), but there isn’t enough snow yet.
We have had a couple of snowfalls so far this autumn. North facing slopes are white above 2000m at the moment. Hopefully we will have some snow building up so that ski lifts can begin to open in early December (4th for Grands Montets if conditions permit).
There should be some limited terrain open for skiing at Courmayeur from November 27th - maybe worth a day trip for Mont-Blanc-Unlimited pass holders (and probably a “pass sanitaire” is required for ski lifts in Italy at the moment).
There seems to be some man made snow on the Bertolini chairlift, from looking at the webcam the last few days.
There is some snow in the longer term forecast in Chamonix, from next weekend, and hopefully it will be at least cold enough on the mountains that they can make some snow for the pistes, too.
At the moment, there is no requirement for a “pass sanitaire” to ride ski lifts in France, but if the covid infection rate goes up above 200 per 100 000, they will probably be required. More on that soon. (Remember that the pass sanitaire is required for cafés, restaurants and bars).
